Obstetric fistula - Health experts call for recruitment of specialised obstetric fistula surgeons

The Assistant Commissioner Clinical Services at the Ministry of Health Dr Rony Bahatungire has revealed that country is in deficit of specialized Fistula surgeons in the country. Dr Bahatungire revealed this during media briefing in preparations to commemorate the international Day to Eliminate Obstetric Fistula to be held on 29th May 2024. The Day highlights the aims at raising awareness about causes, treatment and prevention of obstetric fistula and also strengthens all levels of health service delivery on maternal and new born health.
