OCD: People felt Kanlaon eruption 'as if there was an explosion'

Joel Erestain, director of the Office of Civil Defense Region 7, said in an ANC interview that people up to 10 kilometers away from Kanlaon felt Monday's eruption "as if there was an explosion." He said they were also preparing for possible lahar or mudflows, as isolated thunderstorms were forecast to hit Negros Island.
