Oil prices spike due to Middle East tensions

The escalating tension in the Middle East has seen oil prices rise with fears it could continue to spike further if Israel escalates with Iran. Middle East accounts for 31 per cent of the world’s oil production and there are concerns about supply shortages. Sky News Business Reporter Edward Boyd said oil traders have been “slowly pushing up” prices as there are concerns there could be “much bigger supply shocks”.
