Omukama of Bunyoro Airlifted to Kampala - To access urgent specialized Medical Care

The Omukama of Bunyoro, Dr. Solomon Gafabusa Iguru I, has been airlifted to Kampala for specialized medical treatment. He was picked up this afternoon from Hoima City by a UPDF helicopter that landed at Hoima Booma Grounds, accompanied by a team of doctors. The Omukama was transported from Karuziika Palace in an ambulance to the waiting military chopper and then taken to an undisclosed hospital. He was accompanied by omugo margret karunga adyeeri and Prince Richard Kitehimbwa, his Principal Private Secretary. According to Chief Prince Fred Mugenyi Rucunya, who witnessed the Omukama’s evacuation, the King has been ill for some time.
