In January, the world’s top court found Israel is plausibly perpetrating genocide in Gaza. The International Court of Justice issued several provisional measures compelling Israel to abide by the Genocide Convention and uphold international humanitarian law. With the war entering its second year, Israel is continuing to defy court rulings, making the prospect of accountability elusive. Al Jazeera’s Michael Appel reports.
