"In the Ministry of Education, we say that all education is good business. And I want to take this opportunity here to speak to all the corporate partners who are here this morning - adopt a school. Join our programme. The Chairman of CAL Board is one of our biggest supporters. Come on board and invest in our children." The airline's Chief Executive Officer, Garvin Medera, said Caribbean Airlines is committed to becoming one of the top ten employers in the region. "We are presenting a forum here to give kids an understanding of what exists in the world of work and we're very, very pleased that fifty five corporate entities would have come on board to display their industries, their companies, and really expose the youth to what is possible in the long term." Executive Manager of Corporate Communications at CAL, Dionne Ligoure, highlighted the value of education. "We are here because we believe in the young people in Trinidad and Tobago and, by extension, the region. And more so, we believe in the power of education. Education is liberating. Education is an avenue to independence, a pathway to make not only a success of your life but for persons to contribute as good citizens." The Career Expo kicked off on Wednesday and will run until November 8th. It features displays, workshops and practical hands-on learning experiences for attendees.
