Organisation advocating for blind & visually impaired youth
A local charitable organisation is advocating for the blind and visually impaired youth. President of the National United Society of the Blind Barbados, Janeil Odle says these Barbadians have it worse compared to other people with disabilities. She says many blind children don't have the same access to education or employment. Ms. Odle was a guest on CBC TV8's Mornin' Barbados. The organisation is arranging educational and advocacy programmes to help the blind and visually impaired lead normal lives. Ms. Odle says a movie night is planned through which some much needed funds will be raised.
