OTR Team Wins Scopy Award The highly acclaimed Our TV weekly current affairs show, On The Record has taken the international spotlight, with top honors from American College of Gastroenterology. The show’s host and Executive Producer of Our News Jerome Sawyer, along with Dr. Gemma Rolle the country’s only female gastroenterologist were awarded The Scopy Award for Best Impact Media Initiative, at the awards ceremony at the Philadelphia Convention Center on Monday evening. The award was in recognition of a March 2024 episode of On The Record entitled “In the Shadow of Risk: A Live Colonoscopy”. The hourlong show, which aired during Colon Cancer Awareness Month, captured the entire process of Sawyer’s colonoscopy from the office consultation to the actual colonoscopy and immediately thereafter. The aim of the show was to demystify the colonoscopy process and alleviate fears associated with the colonoscopy process and fears associated with undergoing screenings.
