Over 1.1 million vehicles crossed from Macao to mainland in 2023

More than 1.1 million vehicles from the Macao Special Administrative Region had crossed the border to enter the Chinese mainland in 2023 as of December 28, according to official data. Authorities announced a new policy in late 2022 allowing Macao residents aged 18 or above with effective travel permits to enter the mainland to apply for multi-entry into neighboring Guangdong Province for one vehicle registered under their name.
