‘Overworking himself’: Biden appears to fall asleep in meeting with African leaders

Democrat strategist David Carlucci has questioned whether Joe Biden is “overworking himself” after the US president appeared to fall asleep in a meeting with African leaders. The US President has been criticised for closing his eyes for an extended period during a roundtable with African leaders during his trip to sub-Saharan Africa. “President Biden is trying to squeeze in as much as he can in his final few weeks in office, and I think he is making the best of it,” Mr Carlucci told Sky News host Gabriella Power. “A slip-up like that, I’d have to see it in its context, but I think it doesn’t outweigh the good work that he is doing in this diplomatic trip to Angola. “Maybe he’s overworking himself.”
