Owino market vendors benefit from government's GROW project

The market vendors of Owino Market, Uganda’s largest market located in the city center, have reason to smile after the government’s GROW project extended affordable capital to them. They will borrow at a rate of 10 percent, compared to the normal bank rate of 20-30 percent. According to Namyalo Musoke, the DFCU Owino branch manager, the women will have access to this low-cost capital, which will help them grow their businesses.
