PAC criticizes police over UGX 4 billion shilling detention upgrades

Parliament's Public Accounts Committee has expressed frustration with how the police used four billion shillings to improve their detention facilities. This follows an inspection by the Auditor General of 60 facilities, which found that 19 of these still use buckets for their sanitation, including Gulu East Division, Mbale CPS, Hoima, and Rubanda. The dire situation is a health risk.
