Paetongtarn Shinawatra becomes Thailand’s next PM, youngest ever

Thailand's youngest Prime Minister in history is well into her first day on the job. A majority of MPs approved 37-year-old Peartongtarn Shinawat, (orig: Paetongtarn Shinawatra) a member of the largest party in the governing coalition, Pheu Pur Thai. She’s the daughter of Thaksin Shinawat, a former prime minister who remains influential, despite spending 15 years in self-imposed exile.
