Pakistan at ‘very critical juncture’ after former PM Khan charged with inciting violence: Expert
Pakistan authorities on Thursday (Nov 28) charged former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife under anti-terrorism laws for inciting violence during days of protests that left six dead and many more injured. The country’s main opposition PTI party, founded by Khan, had announced the demonstrations last Sunday and called for Khan’s release. Human rights groups have criticised the government for using anti-terror legislations to hush dissent.
