Hindi pa opisyal na idine-deklara ng Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) ang simula ng tag-init sa kabila ng mataas na temperatura nitong mga nagdaang araw. Ayon kay PAGASA climate monitoring and prediction chief Ana Liza Solis, nanatili pa rin ang pag-iral ng northeast monsoon o amihan kasabay ng easterlies na siyang nakaaapekto sa bansa. Dagdag pa ng ahensya, wala nang lugar na inaasahang aabot pa sa ‘danger level’ ang heat index.
