Paramount Global agrees to merger with Skydance Media

The studio home to classic films including ‘The Godfather’, ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ and ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ is merging. Paramount Global, the owner of Paramount Pictures, has succumbed to the reality its streaming service, Paramount+, can’t compete with the likes of Netflix and Disney+. The global entertainment company, which includes Network 10 in Australia, has been bought by Skydance Media.
