Two men -- Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D -- jumped into the Lok Sabha's chamber from the public gallery during Zero Hour on December 13, released yellow smoke from canisters and shouted slogans, before being overpowered by the MPs. Around the same time, Amol Shinde and Neelam Devi released coloured smoke from canisters while shouting "tanashahi nahi chalegi (dictatorship won't be allowed)" outside the Parliament premises. The incident occured on the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament attack during which armed terrorists stormed the Parliament building. Six people -- Sagar Sharma, Manoranjan D, Amol Shinde, Neelam Devi, Lalit Jha and Mahesh Kumawat -- were arrested by the police in connection with the incident. They face charges under the Indian Penal Code and the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. #parliamentsecuritybreach #loksabhasecuritybreach #parliamentwintersession2023 #parliamentwintersession #wintersession2023 #parliamentsession2023 #parliamentnews #loksabhanews #delhipolice #rahulgandhi #pmmodi #amitshah #lalitjha to India Today for NEW VIDEOS EVERY DAY and make sure to enable Push Notifications so you'll never miss a new video.
