PARLIAMENT DIRECTOR RESPONDS TO OPPOSITION ALLEGATIONS OF CORRUPTION: HEARSAY OR SUBSTANCE?
The Director Communications and public Affairs at Parliament Chris Obore has hit at the opposition wing over allegations of corruption. Obore says Parliament cannot respond to hearsay. Meanwhile, the leader of opposition in Parliament Joel Ssenyonyi wants the speaker of parliament to respond to what they call the results of the on-going social Media exhibition which faults parliament on corruption. According to Ssenyonyi, there is illicit money being spent by Parliament without formal routes including allegations that some members of Parliament last week received 100 million each. LOP Ssenyonyi also questions why he has never been involved in the sittings of the parliamentary commission. However, Obore says the commission sits quarterly and has since August last year never held its meetings.
