PARLIAMENTS’ PRESS BOYCOTT PARLIAMENT

Uganda Parliamentary Press Association (UPPA) has boycotted coverage of parliamentary proceedings following actions that they termed as inhumane treatment conducted to them including eviction from parliament’s galleries. In a press conference at parliament, the President Uganda Parliamentary Press Association Sam Ibanda Mugabi says how the association will only resume business if parliament provides a free working environment to the press. Following the Chaos that erupted in the early Wednesday plenary setting that had the Uganda Parliamentary Press Association evicted from capturing the proceeding, the association after the misconduct has decided to boycott parliamentary proceedings.
