Parole Officer Murdered, Wrapped in Plastic During Sex Offender Visit
A Maryland parole officer went on a routine visit to one of the registered sex offenders assigned to him on May 31 and never returned. When agent Davis Martinez did not report back, Montgomery County police rushed to 54-year-old Emanuel Edward Sewell’s apartment. Investigators believe his phone was thrown in a dumpster by Sewell after he allegedly killed the officer. Sewell, a convicted sex offender, was released from prison in 2021 after serving 25 years behind bars for the rape of a physicist. Sewell has yet to enter a plea after being charged with Martinez’s murder.
