‘Party of hypocrites’: Black Lives Matter slams the Democratic Party

Left-wing organisation ‘Black Lives Matter’ (BLM) has accused the Democratic party of being a “party of hypocrites”. The organisation came out against the Democrat’s installation of Kamala Harris as the party’s presidential nominee. Last week Joe Biden announced via X his decision to drop out of the 2024 election and endorsed Vice President Harris as his successor. Harris’ quick rise as the Democratic presumptive nominee has not sat well with BLM, with the group heavily criticising the Democrats’ decision in a scathing statement. “We do not live in a dictatorship. Delegates are not oligarchs,” they wrote. “Installing Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee and an unknown vice president without any public voting process would make the modern Democratic Party a party of hypocrites.”
