‘Passed his use-by date’: Netanyahu ‘should resign’ over Israel’s war in Gaza

The Australian Foreign Editor Greg Sheridan says Netanyahu is “passed his use-by date” and “should resign” as a result of Israel’s war in Gaza. Protesters gathered in Jerusalem, calling for the release of hostages and the removal of Netanyahu over the weekend. Many attending the protest believe Netanyahu hasn’t done enough – he hasn’t prioritised the return of the hostages; he’s been concentrating on other things like the prosecution of the war. “I do think Netanyahu is now passed his use-by date,” Mr Sheridan told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. “I don’t think he’s the villain of all worlds, but his presence there doesn’t help Israel. “Golda Meir resigned as a result of the Yom Kippur War, and I think Benjamin Netanyahu should resign as a result of this.”
