Peak Jewish body calls for greater protection against antisemitism

A peak Jewish body wants the online safety watchdog to have greater powers to fight hate speech. The Executive Council of Australian Jewry believes there are gaps in the existing legislation. It claims antisemitic hate speech has been allowed to flourish online, and incite violence. The body is asking the government to better shield protected communities by reforming the legislation.
