Foreign Minister Penny Wong has “condemned” Iran’s “dangerous escalation” in the Middle East conflict. Tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate as Israel has vowed ‘significant retaliation’ to Iran’s earlier airstrikes. “The strikes by Iran are a dangerous escalation, and we condemn them fully,” Ms Wong said during Thursday’s Media Conference. “Under international law, Israel has a right to defend itself against these attacks. “Australia always urges adherence to international law.”
