Health Secretary Wes Streeting has defended the possibility of welfare cuts at the chancellor's upcoming spring statement. Speaking to Trevor Phillips, Mr Streeting said 1,000 people a day are signing up for Personal Independent Payments (PIP) and "over the course of the year that's the size of the city of Manchester".
