People signing up for disability benefits in a year the 'size of the city of Manchester'
Health Secretary Wes Streeting has defended the possibility of welfare cuts at the chancellor's upcoming spring statement. Speaking to Trevor Phillips, Mr Streeting said 1,000 people a day are signing up for Personal Independent Payments (PIP) and "over the course of the year that's the size of the city of Manchester".
