People wanting to change Australia Day’s date should ‘run for parliament’

Laundy Hotels Craig Laundy has advised people wanting to change the date for Australia Day, to “run for parliament”. More than 200 pubs planned to ban Australia Day celebrations next year claiming it causes sadness and hurt. Owners of Australian Venues instructed managers not to acknowledge or celebrate the day but have since put out an apology and agreed to continue Australia Day events.
