Peter Dutton is running a ‘textbook campaign’ for next election

Bondi Partners Senior Advisor Peter McGauran says Opposition Leader Peter Dutton is running a “classic opposition textbook campaign” for the next federal election. Support for the Albanese government has fallen, according to the latest Newspoll. Labor’s primary vote has decreased to 32 per cent, while support for the Coalition has increased to 39 per cent. “The nuclear policy is not going to win him [Peter Dutton] the election because it doesn’t feed directly into the cost of living issue,” Mr McGauran told Sky News Australia. “But it’s established Dutton and the Opposition and given them a political benefit on a whole other range of fronts. “Dutton’s running a classic opposition textbook campaign – small target except for some defining issues to prove he’s got the courage of his convictions.”
