Peter Dutton’s nuclear plan ‘much more credible’ than Albanese’s

CIS Director of Energy Research Aidan Morrison believes Opposition Leader Peter Dutton’s nuclear plan is “much more credible” than Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s proposal. Mr Dutton has announced his plan for nuclear energy will cost $331 billion over the next 25 years, according to research conducted by Frontier Economics. “Under this plan, I think it’s actually much more credible than the alternative plan to hit net zero by 2050,” Mr Morrison told Sky News host James Macpherson. “The current plan we have … doesn’t incorporate any of the carbon emissions that are used to actually make the solar panels and make the pylons and the turbine blades for wind turbines. “It only looks at what’s emitted right here.”
