Petition filed to block appointment of opposition allies to cabinet

A petition has been filed at the high court seeking to stop the appointment of opposition allied leaders into Kenya Kwanza’s reconstituted cabinet. Julius Ogogoh through the commission for human rights and justice argues that the appointment of the four into the cabinet violates the opposition’s constitutional mandate of oversight of the government. Ogogoh wants the court to declare the nomination of the four null and void.
