Over a million people in the Philippines rallied in Manila to oppose Vice-President Sara Duterte's impeachment. The "rally for peace," organised by Iglesia ni Cristo, highlighted growing political tensions with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. Demonstrators criticised the impeachment move, accusing it of being a distraction from pressing national issues. Sara Duterte faces allegations of corruption and constitutional violations, but her supporters see the proceedings as politically motivated. Police reported 1.5 million attendees at Quirino Grandstand and nearby streets, showcasing a massive show of force amidst the deepening political divide.
