Pill testing to be rolled out at Beyond the Valley music festival

Victoria's first mobile pill testing service will be rolled out at the Beyond the Valley music festival this weekend. The inaugural test is part of legislation passed earlier this year which will see pill testing at 10 festivals over 18 months. It will operate across the four days of the event near Geelong between 1 and 7pm. On-site testing will be able to screen up to 200 drugs per day. If a high-risk substance is detected and suspected to be in circulation, alerts will be issued via social media and signage at the festival.
