PM clears air on recent controversies

Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley is standing by Deputy Prime Minister Santia Bradshaw who has been accused by the Democratic Labour Party of running afoul of the integrity in Public Life Legislation. At issue, is a cheque valued at 7-thousand-500 dollars which was stolen from her St. Michael South East Constituency Office during a recent burglary. Ms. Mottley accused the DLP of seeking a political equaliser. She maintains there has been no criminal behaviour on the part of the Deputy Prime Minister. Ms. Mottley also addressed concerns surrounding diplomatic passports after the daughter of the M.P. for St. Michael North West who is the holder of such a passport was recently charged with several drug-related charges. She says the broadening of the categories of those who can attain diplomatic passports were changed by the previous administration.
