PM confirms he does not ‘subscribe’ to the China Daily after flattering article released

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has responded to an article in the ‘China Daily’ which commended the PM and Australia’s relationship with Beijing, according to Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell. The article reported that other countries should look at the way the Australian government has managed China in recent years. “I don’t subscribe to the China Daily, I can confirm that,” Mr Albanese said when questioned about the article. “I’ve seen some of the reports from it but we stand up for Australia’s national interest. “The improvement in trade between Australia and China is about Australian jobs.”
