PM Nabbanja commends role of Village Health Teams.

The Prime Minister of Uganda Robinah Nabbanja has commended the role played by Village Health Teams VHT’s in complementing government efforts of ensuring that Ugandans access essential health services. The Prime minister wants the ministry of health to consider VHTs with minimum qualifications to be taken up into the implementation of Community Health Extension Workers program. The premier was this afternoon launching the 3rd Health promotion and disease prevention Conference under the theme “Building resilient health systems for disease prevention through strengthening community health workers” at Speke Resort Hotel in Munyonyo.
