Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre says his focus in the next federal election will be on ending the carbon price, even with the threat of tariffs from the incoming Trump administration. When asked about whether tariffs on energy should form the basis of Canada's response to the U.S., Poilievre said that Canada is "selling oil and gas at a massive price discount to American refineries and LNG plants that are able to massively profit at our expense...because of stupid and fanatical environmental extremists in the Liberal government and throughout the country."
