POLICE ADVISORY OF TERM THREE COMMENCEMENT

The Uganda police have urged stakeholders in the education sector to find modalities of eliminating students’ crowds on different banks to pay school fees. Rusooke Kituuma the police spokesperson says unscrupulous people fleece around banks and extort money from students who spend long time in queues. Police want school managers and banks to leverage on the contemporary financial technologies and devise a safer way of paying school dues without attracting parent and student crowds around banks which expose them to unscrupulous people. In the police schools advisory, school managers are urged to better studying and living environment of students at school premises. Schools are directed to install firefighting equipment and regular review by the school security management committees.
