113-and-a-half-billion-rand. That's how much the police department has to spend on crime fighting measures over the next financial year. Minster Senzo Mchunu says this will be used to Modernise ICT infrastructure, reduce violent crime and enhance police visibility. Mchunu aims to reduce the percentage of contact crimes reported by 14.5% over the medium term.
