Police are tonight on the hunt for a motorcyclist and a pillion rider who are wanted in connection with two shootings earlier today. Acting Commissioner of Police Erwin Boyce made this known at a hastily called media conference this evening at the Oistins Police Station. It was held after two masked men on a motorcycle opened fire in the area of King of Fades barbershop in Sheraton Mall carpark in Christ Church this afternoon. One man was injured while exiting the shop, and a ricocheting bullet injured a woman inside the shop. The riders fled the scene. Subsequently two masked men on a motorcycle opened fire on a group of men who were under a tree in Silver Sands, Christ Church. A man who is said to have been walking home, was struck in his lower body. Acting Commissioner Boyce says police believe the two wanted men are connected to both incidents, and a team has been tasked with working alongside detectives in the Southern Division to deal with such matters. He reminds Barbadians it is an offense to harbour people who are wanted by police. Anyone with any information on these incidents are asked to get in contact.
