Politics truly about service
Barbadians have been asked to recommit to serving others, their communities and this country this Errol Barrow Day. The challenge has been issued by the President of the Democratic Labour Party (DLP), Dr Ronnie Yearwood. He was speaking as members of the DLP joined the congregation of the First Baptist Church, to observe the 104th birthday of one of the party's founders. As he paid tribute to the “Father of Independence,” Dr Yearwood referenced the biblical story of Jesus casting out moneychangers from the temple. Meanwhile, Reverend Paul Leacock says the DLP has served the country well for many years.
