Polk County man kills father, injures mother in shooting

A Bartow man shot his mother and father Saturday night, killing his father and sending his mother to the emergency room with critical injuries. The shooting happened eight days after the 23-year-old murder suspect was released from a Polk County jail after being arrested on battery charges.
