Jakarta is facing serious environmental problems, including water pollution. The lack of access to clean water has forced some residents to buy water from their neighbours who have better access. The capital city currently has about 65 per cent accessibility to clean water, with an ambitious target of 100 per cent by 2030 and the government is speeding up clean water pipeline construction to stop Jakarta from sinking further by curbing groundwater use. Chandni Vatvani reports.
