Polytechnique massacre: Montreal marks 35th anniversary of anti-feminist mass killing

Friday marks the 35th anniversary of one of the darkest moments in Canadian history. On Dec. 6, 1989, a man with a gun murdered 14 women at Montreal's engineering school, École Polytechnique, simply because they were women. On the evening of the anniversary, 14 beams of light will illuminate the sky from Mount Royal, as part of a ceremony to honour those victims.
