POTENTIAL SAUDI ARABIAN INVESTORS: SAUDI ARABIAN INVESTORS TO ADD VALUE ON UGANDAS COFFEE
The vice president Maj. (Rtd) Jessica Alupo has met businessmen and potential Saudi Arabian investors and told them that "Uganda is a very rich country to invest in," especially the agricultural sector. The VP said that if Saudi Arabia investors can import our vegetables, tea, coffee, fruits, animal products and more, we also import their products, a move which will help our prosperity and theirs too. She explained that Uganda and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have potential areas of Economic Cooperation that include, notably, investments in the following sectors: Oil and Gas exploration, Agri-Business, Fisheries, Tourism, Mining and Energy and Pharmaceuticals. Alupo told the investors that relations between Uganda and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have been on for the last 50 years and continue developing steadily. The investors who are one of the leading in East Africa informed the vice president that they would like to add value on Uganda’s coffee and also establish fully-fledged plants to add value on the country’s Pineapples thus creating jobs for Ugandans. They were led by Uganda's Ambassador to Uganda.
