PRESIDENT MUSEVENI CHALLENGE LABOUR ORGANISATIONS TO PRIORITIZE WEALTH IN CREATING JOBS
Ugandans have been urged to use the 40 million acres of arable land in Uganda to create jobs While officiating at the international labour day celebrations in fortportal president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni said the problem is not lack of jobs but lack of vision. Uganda has joined the rest of the world to commemorate international labour day in fortportal. This year's celebrations comes at a time when workers still face challenges of poor working environment and pay and ministry of gender labour and social development is to put emphasis on fair and effective mechanisms for solving disputes at the work place. While officiating at the function in fortportal the president of Uganda, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni said the problem is not jobs but attitude. He re-echoed his advise for the 4 acre model emphasizing that jobs comes from wealth creation.
