Situated next to the Macao Special Administrative Region, Hengqin has witnessed rapid development over the past three years. Covering 106 square kilometers and located across a river from Macao, the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone on Hengqin Island in Zhuhai City, south China's Guangdong Province, was established in September 2021.
