Prime Minister Anthony Albanese delivers Christmas message

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has used his Christmas message as an opportunity to appreciate the selflessness of the Australian spirit. Mr Albanese thanked the country’s volunteers and emergency services and wanted to give a message of hope to those suffering in the midst of hardship and natural disasters. The PM said Christmas is a “chance to rest” and spend time with family and friends. “I’d like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas, for so many Australians this is a chance to rest, to spend time with our family, catch up with friends, and to cherish the memories of those no longer with us,” he said. “In this time of celebration and reflection we express our gratitude to everyone who is giving up their Christmas for the sake of others.”
