Prime Minister takes aim at Liberal Party’s hypocrisy over live sheep export ban

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has called out the hypocrisy of the Coalition over the live sheep export ban by revealing past comments made by several Liberal Party members on the issue. Mr Albanese unearthed remarks from Deputy Opposition Leader Sussan Ley in which she said the live sheep exporting industry was an operating model “built on animal suffering”. The Prime Minister also targeted Liberal Senator Sarah Henderson, revisiting her comments which said "if any person in Australia crams sheep into a transport vehicle for 25 days in the searing heat … that person would be charged with animal cruelty".
