Prime Minster declares he ‘looks forward’ to celebrating Australia Day

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese claims he is “looking forward” to celebrating Australia Day as Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has made an election pledge to mandate citizenship ceremonies on the day if elected. “My council does citizenship ceremonies on Australia Day, and I will be attending the national Australia Day commemorations as I have done every year I have been Labor leader in Canberra,” Mr Albanese said. “I look forward to celebrating Australia Day.”
