Prisoner killed in nitrogen gas execution 'used like a guinea pig', says acquitted death r

Nick Yarris, a former death row prisoner, has told Sky News the execution of a man in Alabama with nitrogen gas is "horrifying". Mr Yarris, who was acquitted of rape and murder after spending 22 years in jail in Pennsylvania, said the prisoner was used "like a guinea pig" in an "experiment". Convicted murderer Kenneth Smith, 58, became the first inmate to be executed using the gas after the US Supreme Court declined a legal bid to halt his sentence.
