Private funeral held for Jean-Marie Le Pen

Family members of French far-right politician Jean-Marie Le Pen have gathered at a private funeral in Brittany. His daughter, Marine, who currently leads the party he founded and has run for president three times, attended the service.   Mr Le Pen was a polarising figure in French politics, known for his extreme anti-immigration stances.   He was convicted of inciting racial hatred on several occasions.   A public funeral will be held in Paris next week.
